OFFICIALLY OUT OF PRINT BUT FOUND ANOTHER BOX! I became friends with Big George Brock in St. Louis, during my hectic "Mad Mad" marketing days there. Big George grew up on a cotton plantation just outside Clarksdale, Mississippi, so when I moved to Clarksdale to open my Cat Head blues store in 2002, he insisted on playing my grand opening (in a pink suit!). At that time, there were only two passing references to Big George on the entire World Wide Web. He was an unknown outside of North St. Louis and Clarksdale. When I tried to help him get recorded, no labels were takers. So, I started one. His first comeback CD was "Club Caravan" (sorry, out of print). He brought his St. Louis band down to record that one. We planned to do the same thing the next year (2006), but the night before, they stood him up. Crap. I thought what we now know as "Round Two" wasn't going to happen. But thankfully, after some frantic phone calls (and an extra bank withdrawal), we managed to pull together an amazing core band from Mississippi plus one of Big George's buddys from the old Howlin' Wolf days — Hubert Sumlin. The rest is history, you can hear. - Roger Stolle, Cat Head
